That feature was removed from the product as of the 12.5.2 maintenance release because of some of the third-party products it would require SAP to license. It won't be in any later releases.
This feature is unavailable in BI 4.0 as as this functionality can be very easily replicated using multi source UNX universe..
If you are on BOXI 3.1 then check the link below which explains the process very nicely..
Also keep in mind you can not convert Linked Unv to Unx at the time of migration to BI 4.x

Problem solved by run solution in error 5. After adding default UoM group in item group , which is taking a quite long time when updating, I use DTW to update default sales & purchasing UOM

Hope you meant surplus stock as the difference between the available stock (stock in hand + stock in transit) and the requirements.
In this case, you may use the FM: MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API. The FM will give you the individual requirements, receipts as well as stock. You may calculate the surplus stock with the calculation logic as required.

Also please note that if you drag and drop fields directly from the Database table you need not write seperate coding for saving the data in database table. The standard funtionlity will automatically do that

One thing I do not understand is the delivery date.
Why the following screen show delivery date value of “24.02.2014” , when the MD04 and the schedule delivery line in ME38 clearly stated “09.02.2014” (See Figure 1 and Figure 2)?
My planned delivery date value in MRPview 2 and PIR are both having a value of 20 days.
In that case, the above two problems are really an issue then.
Peter, appreciated so much on all the clues you provide to me, but do you have experience facing my two questions above (does your business making a noise on it, what is your rational you provide to the business?), and how to resolve it? Or do I need to implement the SAP note: 741385 and the above two problems will peacefully resolved?

Yes, earlier prior to ECC 5.00 it was compulsory to do carry forward activity in case you had made any changes.
From ECC 5.00 onwards you need to do only once carry forward activity.
Hence, in case you are using version prior to ECC 5.00 do carry on activity else execute transaction code FAGLGVTR once at the year end, SAP does carry forward of changes of its own.
